Actually, utility-scale wind can generate power at a cost on par with other forms of generation WITHOUT the tax credit. This was proven for the 2 years when the credit was not in effect. Of course companies make MORE money with the credit and for that reason Congress re-instated it last year. That would be the REPUBLICAN Congress, you know.
It’s like the game kids play where they ask Dad if Mom says “no”. If both Houses were to say “no” and mean it, the industry would survive and find it’s own level of growth and profitability.
Don’t forget, ALL forms of energy are subsidized to one extent or another. Including nuclear, coal, and natural gas.
