I ask them the following, ‘Was the last Ice Age (or major continental glaciation!) the last Ice Age?’ Most don't know there have been many ice ages!

I then ask, 'Are really in between two separate major continental glaciations or are we still in an ice age and this is just a temperate lull between glaciation. We know in the past from geology that lulls can last 1000s, 10,000s, 100,000s even million of years (likely even more!)'

If I get to that question their response is to usually walk away.

We are in a two million year ice age and current in an inter-glacial of that ice age.

We are in an interglacial period, although it is probably several thousand years too early to tell.
