I’ve read reports (and by reports I mean tabloid media offerings) of USMC snipers being out-ranged and out-gunned in Afghanistan by enemy snipers at distance on some occasions.

I believe it was not snipers, but heavy Russian machine guns similar to our M2 .50 caliber, effective out to two miles or so. Snipers would be under fire well before they could get in range. Particularly if they only had the pipsqueak 5.56.

Some reports of foreign snipers, but doubt they have anything out ranging our sniper gear.

What weapons are enemy snipers in Afghanistan using to outgun ours?

No doubt there is a huge int’l sniper weapons market out there. Nothing but the best from Russia and other arms producers, for ready cash.
