I was walking off my ship and down the pier for the last time as they were refitting the USS PELELIU berthing areas for women.
Dodged a bullet there!
It’s a good thing Women were not in the fight at Peleliu or that Battle would have been lost. I had a friend who fought there and it was hand to hand combat totally brutal and barely survivable for hardcore men. I laugh when I hear people argue for females in combat. Totally clueless.
