It was fun.

What are your polling experiences?

This was my first time since 2004.

I literally had the fun of telling them I was voting for Al Gore. They told me he wasn't running. I told them I was going to vote with my hanging chad.

(Didn't vote Gore. Didn't vote traitor Kerry.)

Curious: Did you get the call on a land line or cell phone?

What are your polling experiences? .

I got an automated poll - and when I hit "1 for 'Yes'" I got Rick-Rolled!

I usually only just get calls from Hindu guys telling me that my computer is slow or that if I don’t pay them, cops are coming.

I usually have a good time with them before they hang up on me.

As part of the 100,000,000 that have had my records stolen I refuse to answer questions for anyone. I was asked if I would take a poll and I angrily answered that there were a bunch of them that should be in jail and hung up.

Once you answer one poll, the word goes out you answer questions and expect to be spammed now. I speak of this from experience. I was called so much I ended up closing down my land line and switched everything to my cell.

Did they identify who they were polling for, ie candidate, party or someone else?

ALWAYS ask who is doing the poll. They will tell you.

I’ve gotten dozens of these calls, and I like to f@ck with them. They usually say they are from “Windows” or “Microsoft” something or other and they have said they have detected that my computer is infected somehow.

I have asked them in response on several occasions:

If you’re who you say you are, what is my router IP address (BTW, it is NOT the default setting)?,

If you are who you say you are, what is my MS product license number, you should know it since you called me after ‘detecting’ my computer......,

If you are who you say you are, send me an immediate confirmation to my email address, which you should know now,

Give me my home address that goes with the telephone number you dialed (you, specifically dialed that number yourself, right?),

and on and on. They don’t know what to do in response.

I have a call blocker on my land line. Pollsters never get through, though I’m sure they have been calling me (along with fund raisers, credit card scammers, and the usual dregs of humanity).

Best purchase ever. That has done more to restore my sanity than any pill ever could.

I answered an automated land line poll here in staunch republican North Pinellas County Florida. Simple survey, 5-6 questions about voting preference from Pres to Congress.

I had forgotten that the weasel ex repub governor charlie crist turned independent turned democrat, defeated by Rubio for Senate, is now trying one more time to feed at the public trough, running for congress. The dude is harder to kill than a bed bug.

We had received several calls from a “poll” for our 23 year old son - by name, finally he talked to them.
They asked several questions, and he indicated Trump, so they went through what I can only consider a push poll - they would quote some statement from Trump and ask if it would make him more or less likely to vote for him. They would do likewise for Mrs. Bill.
Then they started citing some negative thing about Mrs. Bill, or a quote from Trump about her, followed up by a positive retort to whatever the negative was. They would do the same about Trump, but no positive retort.
Finally they asked him demographics. When he said he was African American, seemed like they lost it. They asked again to confirm, then the pollster had her supervisor come on the line to “confirm” his demographics. They were clearly not happy.

A week later we received another polling call that my wife answered. Before any polling questions they asked the demographic questions - and when my wife said white - they were done.

At least it kept them busy for a while.

I mess with them too. I sometimes act like the dumb user who can’t follow instructions. Often I end up asking “which computer is the problem, I have many?”, then I tell them “but it’s running Linux”. Then I tell them they should be ashamed of themselves.

I also got polled yesterday on my mobile phone. There was an obvious liberal slant to this survey, many (most) questions were about HB2 in NC.

I immediately go into my gold buying routine with the computer or IRS scammers.
I tell them that I am buying $30,000 in gold. How much can they sell me? How quick can they deliver. Need gold right now. Just keep asking for gold. No matter what they say I keep up the gold request. I talk fast and loud. I need gold. Get it for me.

My wife thinks I am nuts. She is right. However the number of calls is decreasing.

I do not respond to ANY calls land line or cell, that do not identify the caller; out of state are automatic rejected; local number, the same.

Should a call get through, I do what I have done for decades now... lie.
In this case I would answer "Hillary."

Go Trump!

I absolutely hate polls, the main weapon of the propagandists aimed at the moron voters.
