* Why would a cheating machine show on screen that it cheats?

Explain please.

Calibration error. The touch screen is reporting touch coordinates that are offset from screen coordinates where the touch occurred. Assuming the origin is at the upper left, the touch screen is reporting the correct x coordinate, but a too-high (i.e., further down) y coordinate, causing the program to think that the Democrat box had been touched.

Old-fashioned touch screens came with a calibration utility. When you ran it, it put a target on blank screen. You touched the target, and it moved somewhere else, you touched again, etc., until the screen was adequately covered. The utility used the resulting raw data to build a correction table, which it saved in a file, to be read by the touch driver and used to correct the raw coordinates before passing them to the application.

Modern touch screens do not have the problem. You don't calibrate your phone, yet, with a little practice, you can type on its tiny soft keyboard with few errors.

These voting machines are using obsolete touch technology, giving incompetent or evil poll workers an opportunity to mess up the election.

This particular instance was from 2014. I remember hearing about that machine defaulting away from Rigell to the dem.

Nonetheless, double-checking your vote before sending is critical.

It is not even that old-fashioned. I recently did a factory reset for a year 2013 smartphone and it required a calibration for the touch screen.

Finally someone gets it. Touch screens have to be calibrated.

Imagine the outcry if an ATM touch screen wasn't properly calibrated, and you ended up drawing money out of someone else's account.

Couldn’t be someone else’s account in this scenario. It’d be withdrawing 50 when you wanted to click 20.

There’s an urban legend about a short lived bug in some bank’s ATM’s where when you manually entered the sum you want you could put in anything you want and it gave you the closest bill it had, but deducted what you entered.

So if you entered 0.01 then it deducted that and gave you whatever the smallest bill it had was.

As a computer programmer I find that story very plausible.

Imagine the outcry if you had an ATM that could withdraw money from someone else's account.

Any ATM that had the ability to withdraw money from somebody else's account when miscalibrated would also do so when correctly calibrated. It's just that, when correctly calibrated, the user would be less likely to do it by mistake.

It would be something like withdrawing the wrong sum of money

One-sided media coverage, distortion of Trump’s message... I’m afraid the ‘fair’ ship has sailed.

The election may well go to hillary and four more years of obama-ism, only worse.

Americans are determined to go down the Marxist road; Venezuela here we come!

It’s only a felony if they get caught, and it’s clear that a substantial number don’t care about being caught.

Venezuela here we come!

Actually, with Clinton's open-border policy, it will be the Venezuelans saying, America, here we come!

We just had a Cub Scout Halloween party and everything is busy. It couldn't be better! How are the first days of retirement? Your first project could be getting that .22 into order. Take the action all apart, clean it up and put it back together. Just put the model number into the Google search and I'm sure you could find a Youtube video that could show you each step.

One of my dad's retirement hobbies is shooting squirrels at the bird feeder. He takes great pride in shooting the red ones because they are quick and smart compared to the bigger grey ones.
