Here’s a phrase that apparently the airlines simply made up: near miss. They say that if 2 planes almost collide, it’s a near miss. BS, my friend. It’s a near hit! A collision is a near miss.

I argue this with safety professionals all the time. It’s a near hit end of argument.
Must be like when a glass is half full or half empty - optimist or pessimist.
But article says it happened over Eastern Syria. There should be a no fly zone over Syria, unless it’s a Russian, or Syrian govt aircraft.
