I used the Wikipedia definition only as a starting point, as it DOES include references/links to white supremacist websites and individuals. Though the creator of the term may never be known, it is indeed the socialists who are pushing the moniker now in their oh so smug superior knowledge of all things. They think themselves very clever in using it, as if it has always been term in everyday people’s lexicon, hoping it will become ‘normalized’. It actually is kind of clever in the sense that if people start using it synonymously with conservative or the like, without realizing that it’s more the equivalent to white supremacist, which most people know would be a lie in describing Trump supporters or conservatives, they will have succeeded in once again getting their ignorant true believers to unwittingly partake in yet another fabricated lie.

I agree. It drives me nuts how many FReepers will just start using the term “alt-right”, without realizing they are putting the noose around their own neck by reinforcing a negative association.

Another one that just kills me is the leftists BS concept of having to “pay for” tax cuts.

In the left’s twisted view, a deficit is caused by the government not taxing enough to cover government spending, whereas we know the cause of a deficit is the government spending more than it has.

Can you imagine telling your parents they can’t cut your allowance unless they can figure out another way to pay for your expenditures? Yet, that is exactly what the left is saying.

The idea of tax cuts needing to be “paid for” is a deception - it places the burden of proof on the taxpayer to prevent deficit spending, when any honest, sane and reasonable person knows the burden is on the spender.

Then I see conservative talking heads start to adopt this phrasing - even though it works against their own argument! Is this why republicans are called the stupid party?
