Chargers owner Dean Spanos told NFL commissioner Roger Goodell and several league owners on Wednesday that he intends to relocate the franchise from San Diego, the team’s home since 1961, to Los Angeles.

The Chargers expect to play at StubHub Center in Carson the next two seasons before joining the Rams in a $2.66 billion stadium in Inglewood that is scheduled to open in 2019.

Hard to believe the Chargers will play at StubHub Center. I have been there before for high school games and it is awful for football. The field is far away from the stands and fans closest to the field can't see over the players because the seating is too low.

As a San Diego resident, I say, “Good riddance to bad rubbish.” And that rubbish is Dean Spanos, the worst owner in football, and his criminal spawn. LA doesn’t want or care about the Chargers. They want the Raiders, but in their stupidity, the NFL are sending them to Las Vegas. So, enjoy sucking in the City of Angels, Spanos Crooks, and getting booed by hordes of rowdies dressed in silver & black.

LA said for 30 years they didn’t want football back.

They have a chance to prove the veracity of that statement. Actually, two chances.

The Chargers should be ignored, shunned and otherwise avoided. Let’s watch the shock and panic on the face of Spanos and the NFL.

Wow. This is a really, REALLY dumb move...for all of the reasons already stated.

That said, once again, I invite all Freepers to feel free to become Green Bay Packer fans! All are welcome.

We are totally, 100% Privately Owned. Our managers know what they’re doing. Our coaches (with a few exceptions) have been GREAT. Our players don’t act like thugs, either. And, we have Aaron Rodgers. ‘Nuf said! :)

As an added bonus, you can find a Green Bay Packers Pub in just about every state in the nation!

The Packers have a strong following in southern CA. When they played the Rams at Anaheim Stadium at least a third of the crowd were Packer fans.

My nephew is a big Packers fans even though he is CA born and raised. I will stayed NFL free. 20 years without local pro football made me do other things on Sunday, like going to the local gun ranges.

“...like going to the local gun ranges.”

Depending upon what time the game is on, we do both on Sunday, before or after Church. Luckily, our, ‘Range’ is right here at home. :)

I STILL extend the offer. If it makes you feel any better, Aaron IS a ‘California Boy’. We’ve gotten beyond that. ;)
