Some of us are still here in NJ.
Shooting and hunting as much as possible.

Don’t forget those of us stuck behind enemy lines :)

That’s kind of expensive. And finding replacement ammo can be a challenge at times. You might try some high quality air guns instead.

I do that too in bad weather or during the shortage, but I like shooting firearms too, and the cost of ammo is not an issue for me. At least currently, availability is not an issue and I order online with free shipping for bulk orders, at a site where the prices are reasonable. Shooting is my one big hobby, and I can afford the costs. BTW, you're right to specify high quality for air guns; quality matters for enjoyment.

I build custom AKs. I know which models to not buy. I’m trying to post pics of my VEPR and mak 90 but I can’t do pics on FR. I’ve never seen a lever gun that worked and to this day refuse to buy or even shoot one. I gave them 4 chances and 4 times they didn’t even work AT ALL. I just look down my nose when I see a rifle with a lever. As far as I’m concerned, they’re all obsolete defects

I got interested in seeing what other sites carried this bilge and ran across this gem from 09/13/16 Shooting Guns for the First Time

Same approach as my post at 33.

A screen shot from the vid at that site:

Sorry to hear about your problems with lever action weapons. Not only did it work, but it was given to a cousin in California and it still works well. It was one of the Browning models designed in 1894. Model 94. I haven’t seen it for a few years, but as I understand it, parts are still available, but can be hard to find.

It’s much easier to convert them if you’re nice to them when they go to church.

The best question to ask when you’re done at the range is, “So how many people did you want to murder when you fired that gun?”

“None.”

“Oh.”

Converts are the best zealots.

I would be charitable to them. I would also tell them - in a charitable way - to man up and stop acting like they’re twelve.

I would also tell them get their damn fingers off the trigger. One or two of them accidentally fired a round when they didn’t intend too. They’re dangerous and stupid. And I would tell them that too. Charitably.

Niceness is overrated. Charity is better. “Nice”, by the way, is a 15th century French word meaning “silly” or even “stupid”. I’m not kidding. Middle English, foolish, wanton, from Anglo-French, silly, simple, from Latin nescius ignorant, from nescire not to know. https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/nice?utm_campaign=sd&utm_medium=serp&utm_source=jsonld Like I said, niceness is overrated.
