With lawmakers considering legislation to make President Donald Trump's proposed wall along the U.S.-Mexico border a reality, U.S. Concrete CEO Bill Sandbrook says he's ready to get a competitive bid in on the project....

What does Cemex say?
CEMEX, Cementos Mexico in Monterrey will get the bid, and be enriched, it will make the deal sweet for them.
Trump should issue a call for help from all the little concrete and paving companies throughout the US. They could send a contingent of trucks to come to the rescue. Truck by truck by truck pulling into the border stations. Share the prosperity with the little guys and ladies!
I don’t know about that, he seems to lean towards american companies and american labor.
What about companies who manufacture land mines, high intensity lasers, and dig bugie stick holes.
Im all for making an electric fence..you try to sneak across the border and you become a crispy critter
Great!
I wonder what the Chinese are thinking. Our Alaska Portland cement comes from China.
We need one along the Canadian border. Mexicans aren’t the only illegal ones. Asians and Arabs come across the northern border.
Oil companies had better start making plans for installing asphalt units and vacuum distillation columns in order to support Trump’s infrastructure program.
What US company is the largest supplier of electrified fencing? That’s who I want to get the project.
First: Send Militias to the border to guard them.
Second: send the teams to survey the location of the wall and forts to man the wall.
Third: Start laying the foundations in a dozen sites on the same day. Ivanka Trump should break a bottle of bubbley over the first pylon of the wall.
Forth: Call for volunteers to work for 3 month team (at the same wages as soldiers) to build it cheaply.
Fifth: Use prisoners on chain gangs to also build the wall.
Sixth: When done—throw a national party with a special one time holiday for all America.
Why bring this up? I wrote about asphalt plants for road cover during the infrastructure program. I doubt that there is a demand for asphalt for the wall.
Because the fly ash is a byproduct of burning coal. The Chinese use coal for power plants and therefore have an abundance of fly ash.
You’re not paying attention. Trump has said repeatedly: “American products produced by American labor.” Trump will not allow Mexican cement or Mexican labor to build “his” wall.
Yup. Caterpillar and John Deere will be gearing up production too. MORE jobs!
