black paper snake with a serpent’s head high in the air. I guess that was supposed to represent an oil spill.

The native tribe protesting the pipeline said they have a "black snake prophecy" where a big black snake (ahem, kind of like a pipeline full of oil) will appear and poison the Earth. The environmentalists were referring to it a lot. I looked all over for Lakota religious beliefs, and could not find any reference to a black snake prophecy before the pipeline.

” possible next stops include the Sabal Trail pipeline being built to transport natural gas from eastern Alabama to central Florida, and Energy Transfer Partners’ Trans-Pecos in West Texas”

I’d advise the pipeline protesters to skip that one: the natives of those states won’t be very sympathetic ...

We have them in Florida protesting and agitating Sable Trail gas line. Moonbat was killed in Citrus County after chase and confrontation with Deputies.

My main point in countering the lib arguments against DAPL on social media is that there are multiple pipelines in the Missouri River in southern NoDak already.... older, buried to a lesser depth, and using older materials and welding techniques... the new pipe can pass any test that the older lines can, and many that they cannot... so therefore, any rational opposition to the new line MUST include demands that all the old lines be removed as well.

So this approach of theirs may just be my fault, LOL.

They lose a lot of their sympathy when the take it to other pipelines. Many conservatives, me, for instance, tend to support Indian efforts on Indians’ behalf if there is any basis to land claims at all. We do NOT, however support all the hippies and communists that gravitate to these things and those elements tend to reduce support for the Indians’ grievances because it becomes a different sort of contention altogether. In some cases, such as the Puyallup near war way back in 1970, the Indians themselves told their commie would-be allies to get lost. The Puyallup had a lot of sympathy across the political spectrum in Tacoma and environs.

They should all go to Hawaii and protest the pipeline on the north shore.

There have been two in incidents on the Sabal Trail pipeline in the past week.

Last Wednesday two protesters locked themselves in the pipeline. Once removed, they were arrested. http://www.clickorlando.com/news/protestors-removed-from-inside-sabal-trail-pipeline

On Sunday, a man began shooting at the pipeline ... then at the deputies. They shot back and killed him. http://www.wesh.com/article/marion-county-sniper-shot-dead-in-citrus-county/8982080

If the protesters were actually serious about the environment they would not have left a garbage dump and open sewers at the site of their camp. It was never about the environment or protecting Native lands, it was a group of modern day luddites who seek to destroy capitalism by cutting off the energy needed to run our society. Too bad the media has failed to show the hypocrisy of them claiming to protect the earth while they turned their campsite into an environmental disaster.

“The problem is that they lie about the issue so badly that gullible individuals believe the narrative and support these idiots, then when the truth gets out, it’s too late because the lie has become truth.”

Such is now the standard operating procedure libtards employ regarding any and every issue they’re against. Make the lie big enough, and tell it often enough that people start taking it for truth.

There’s a local ‘issue’ near me that they are doing the same exact thing to. The issue is regarding the building of a relatively small water retention pond along the Gila River. The pond would be filled by pumping water from the river ONLY during flood stage, and then be released back into the river and a few irrigation ditches during the hot summer months when the river is reduced down to a trickle. The libtards are opposed to this, of course. The lie they are using is printed on bumper stickers, signs, and in articles and reads: “No damn dam on the Gila River!” Absolutely nobody is talking about or planning to build a dam on the river, but by using that slogan, they’ve tapped into the emotions of the ignorant and created a sizeable resistance to the project. The reality is that they really just hate our civilization, which probably stems from some sort of self-loathing.
