Showtime's "Homeland" is onboard for the jihad

Have you been watching Showtime's Homeland? It's deep into jihad-supporting territory.

That's nothing new by itself. It's taken a hard turn that way since this season began. Before that, too, but not quite as far as this. The question is, how far?

The answer is given by checking who they hired to advise the show: Ramzi Kassem is a Muslim-activist, Gitmo lawyer and columnist for Al-Jazeera.

Do you remember when President Obama promised to "close" Guantanamo? Ramzi Kassem opposed those plans because they weren't good enough for the jihadis. To be fair, Obama's plan was always a fraud. Moving Guantanamo wouldn't have been the same thing as actually closing it and then giving trials to all the detainees. Nevertheless, it is legal to hold them. Ramzi Kassem puts our enemies first.

That's actually his job. He's a Gitmo lawyer, having represented former detainee Shaker Aamer. Mentioned previously: The gist is that his client supports the jihad, but lets idiot lefties put a halo on him anyway. We're the bad guys for keeping his client locked up.

Okay, so that's Ramzi Kassem. Why did Showtime hire this guy?

We know that the show has been getting complaints for years from jihad-supporters. But why him? Couldn't the producers find another consultant on Muslim sensitivities who hadn't also committed himself to representing a jihadist? Of course they could have. They wanted this one.

Contrary to the critics' complaints, the show has had friendly Muslim characters before. The trouble is, those Muslim characters were on America's side. Lefties don't believe that Muslims on our side are authentic. They wanted the entire world turned upside down.

And they got it. This season began with a young extremist Muslim who'd been set up by the government, and then killed in a terrorist bombing for which he was framed.

In the story thus far, a senior member of the CIA is behind it. There's also a plot to make it appear that Iran is cheating on their nuke deal. Naturally, Israel is a part of that, too.

And while all that's going on, there's an Alex Jones-like internet host mixed up with a shadowy organization running a sock-puppet charade to push right-wing public opinion. There's more to be revealed there in the coming weeks.

So, we're the bad guys. Making America into the enemy is what it takes to get the approval of a Muslim-activist Gitmo-lawyer.

Psychologist James E. Mitchell was warned about this. In his recent book, Enhanced Interrogation, Mitchell tells of his experiences interrogating the 9/11 terrorists. Contrary to popular belief, the rough stuff was only needed for a few weeks.

In one of their more cordial conversations, 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed ("KSM") warned Mitchell that the media is "one of Allah's gifts":

Warming to the topic, KSM smiled and said the media, either on purpose or without realizing it, would promote Islam's cause and champion tearing down the measures put in place to protect the American people after 9/11. He said the media would promote al-Qa'ida's cause by framing the war against Islam (his characterization, not mine) as morally wrong, impossible to win, and fraught with unacceptable losses. He said the media's response was one of Allah's "gifts," one of the ways Allah preordained for Americans to set aside those things which kept us safe and prevented attacks in the immediate aftermath of 9/11.
Showtime's Homeland has become "one of Allah's gifts." I don't think there is any turning back.

As Dr. Mitchell quotes KSM: "Eventually, America will expose her neck to us for slaughter."

But he's wrong there. It is leftists who will expose their necks for slaughter by the jihadists. The rest of us will be fighting.

No one here is especially surprised that Hollywood is doing this, but hiring an actual Gitmo lawyer was even worse than I expected.

I have selectively removed Showtime and HBO decades ago. No need to cut the cable. It gives me Fox News (imperfect but head and shoulders above the rest) non extra pay channels like AMC and FX. And most of all it brings me the Internet and free republic and entertainment from Netflix and Amazon.

“Cut the cable”

Yup, up till this season I’ve been a big fan of the show. But, this years theme is frankly boring. IMO they better get back to their roots next season or its over.

“I gave up on it after the second episode :/”

I did EXACTLY the same thing as I saw the leaning in favor of the towards the jihadis.

Yes, they didn’t even wait half the season to go pro-jihad this time. Made me want to burn my computer (where I watched it).

I just watched the first season 6 episode last night - I have watched this show for the previous 5 seasons, and I didn't even know season 6 started - apparently Showtime started the new season with very little fanfare, and earlier than normal.

I can see why... in addition to what appears to be the season's apologist storyline, they have "Madam President-Elect"... meaning they filmed the new season last year ASSuming Hillary Clinton would win... LOL!

There are reasons why I do not watch such TV shows. The propaganda is always there.

“I gave up on it after the second episode.”

I watched the first episode on You tube for free, and I am so glad that I didn’t spend the money to see anymore. If I want to go with support for the muslims, all I have to do is listen to the MSM news.

It was anti-American propaganda from the beginning.

The show has been pretty dumb for several seasons now. Remember the Taliban commander who was so nice and hospitable to the kidnapped Saul? In one scene, the Taliban guy was tenderly making love to his wife (or one of them), while Saul sat chained in the bedroom. I’m sure fundamentalist Muslim men do such things all the time - NOT!

Had my DVR set to “Record” the shows. I had 6 recordings the other day and dumped them all at once.

My experience was similar to yours.

My wife and I have watched the first 5 seasons of Homeland. We recently began watching season 6.

I find season 6 profoundly disturbing, and this is why:

The people who made it seem to have gone over to the dark side; at least that's how it appears to me.

There is a crazy radio broadcaster who is probably the Leftists' concept of conservative talk radio hosts although he bears absolutely NO resemblance to Rush, Sean, Bill O'Reilly or any of the other prominent radio hosts--NONE WHATSOEVER.

But the most outrageous travesty is the female President-elect, apparently designed to portray Hillary Clinton and obviously created in anticipation of Hillary's election to the U.S. Presidency. The makers of this farce must have been woefully disappointed at Hillary's defeat and woefully misguided in their portrayal of her.

The most astonishing thing of all is the development of the character of the President-elect. She bears absolutely NO resemblance to Hillary Clinton--NONE WHATSOEVER--but if this is the Left's concept of what Hillary is like, those people are far more delusional than even I have imagined.

Do they really think Hillary Clinton is anything like the character of the President-elect in Homeland? If so, it's no wonder that they were amazed at her defeat.

If the people who made this 6th season series honestly believe that the radio host is an accurate depiction of prominent talk radio hosts and that the President-elect is an accurate depiction of Hillary Clinton, they are profoundly delusional, and America's situation is far worse and more dangerous than I thought. It means that millions of Americans are essentially psychotic--and that's scary!

What do you think?

I’ll disagree here. The main plot this season is based on a Deep State regime change against a new President who isn’t “with the program”, based on fake news and using professional agitators. It’s so close to what is being done to President Trump I’m wondering if the writers have a crystal ball.

Sounds like the episode that made me dump Blue Bloods. They had a “right-wing” radio host who was a liberal’s fevered fantasy about what a right-winger is. He was coming to give a speech, and to spoil it for him and his audience of haters, Chief Tom Selleck assigned nothing but minority police officers to guard the event, which kept his right-wing racist fans from showing up. This was after looking the other way at earlier episodes where a prostitute was murdered by her devout Christian mother, and another where the Muslim terrorist was a blonde lady who recently converted, while all the lifelong Muslims shook their heads at how she perverted their peaceful religion.

Thanks, Rast. You've saved me the trouble of wasting time on Blue Bloods.

BTW, check out Little Big Lies? It's an interesting--though probably unintentional--study of the shallowness and stupidity of the contemporary Left. It shows them for exactly what they are, but, as I was telling my wife, Leftists probably will not catch on and will think that those trendy, groupthink morons are sophisticated and deeeeeep. They're the opposite.

I don’t know of that. It looks like it’s on HBO, which I don’t have. I am looking forward to the upcoming revival of Twin Peaks and really hoping they don’t ruin it with partisan politics.

I watched a few more episodes of Homeland. It was much worse than I had thought. The propaganda was loathsome. I’m utterly disgusted.
