It’s consistently at .70 at 100 yrds, but only with 180gr bullets. Any other bullet weight and it can spread as much as 4 inches at 100yds.

Try loading your own and that .70 will shrink. It's not just the weight of the bullet. I have very accurate loads for my .308 using 150, 165, 168, and 175 grain bullets.

Do you have a heavy barrel on your .308?

As far as I know that’s the only way to achieve consistent accuracy across multiple bullet weights.
