One assumption that may be in error is that Millennials will remain in urban areas as they age, marry, and have children. The reality of poor urban schools and high private school tuition will dictate their moving into the suburbs.

You nailed it. These kids are renouncing having kids and husbands and wives. No need for good schools or a mortgage. I gave an in-law niece a hug the other day and I said “you are so beautiful, why aren’t you married?” She is over 30 and lives in downtown LA in a rental flat. I thought she was going to shoot me. I got a look that would fry bacon.

Although they do not discuss it in this intro to their video series, I think one of the hallmarks of the millennial generation is that they are also not having kids. It is another unnecessary expense.
