The House Government Reform and Oversight Committee would later produce a report accusing the White House of politicizing the FBI. Director Sessions was fired on July 19, 1993. On the next day, Deputy White House Counsel Vince Foster was found dead in a Washington D.C. park. A note found in his briefcase included the phrase, "The FBI lied in their report to the AG."
