I use Pandora alot... lots of different artists there. There is a channel for nearly everyone. I listen to Lefty a lot, but they also throw in a bunch of similar artists as well... i’ve heard stuff i’ve never heard before there...

Maybe off topic, but so many radio stations, of varying formats, have such tight playlists, that it gets so repetitive after a while.

I listen to some satellite radio stations, which play a much greater variety, than some of the terrestrial radio stations.

As to why radio stations choose to play such a tight playlist, anyone know? Especially if it turns off some listeners such as me? I’m sure I’m not the only one to turn off terrestrial radio due to so many commercials and lack of variety in music played.

Pandora and Spotify are amazing. I’ve been trying Tidal lately, but prefer the first two. I do wish they had some additional flexibility to create personalized playlists that mix genres for you. Pure 100% country or 100% bluegrass or 100% folk get tiring.
