The best spices I’ve ever gotten were from my herb garden in my own backyard.

I grow my own garlic, sage, thyme, lemon thyme, rosemary, basil, oregano, and parsley, most of which are perennials even here in Upstate NY.

There’s hardly a herb that can’t be grown here even if just for the summer, and you can cure it and dry it yourself and know exactly what’s in it.

Exactly so!

I have a 1/3 of my kitchen garden devoted to herbs and they dry well, in a dark closet. I grow most of the ones you do and also have chives,two different kinds of mint and lavender.
