Judges could then issue any orders they want, and Trump could respond with “any federal employee obeying the judge instead of me will be immediately fired”.

Unfortunately the tenure-for-life and absolute power that accompanies it tends to draw too many with emperor complexes. Lawyers in general, in my opinion, tend to view the law as a hammer and a means to rule by circumventing legislation.

Trump has had the ruling class standing on his neck since the moment he won. He would need enormous politico capital to put the Judges in their place and lets face he has very little.<<
Maybe on his landslide 2nd term he'll be able to have “a little more flexibility”
