I heard on the radio from a resident in the know that Charlottesville is one of the most leftist cities in the Virginia. That surprised me.

Charlottesville is the home of UVA. Hell, it is UVA. Just like every other university town in this country it's a left-wing asylum. Pretty but still a left-wing asylum.

I remember driving through VA about 25 years ago and taking the bypass highway past Charlotteville. It was very picturesque.
