The reservations and the BIA need to go away.
They’re just concentration camps that vote Democrat.
Definitely PC as far as the good guy/bad guy dichotomy, but surprisingly un-pc at various moments. I give it a thumbs-up.
I disagree. This thing was nothing but a leftist virtue signaling movie where the only TRULY bad guys were white guys.
The whole message was moronic because they throw up the placard at the end about how Native American women disappearances aren’t tracked.
But the movie never ever goes into the way of that or even points that out except for a throw away line that the Indians don’t want the Feds on their land and they’re so poor because the white man keeps em down that they don’t have the resources to do the investigation themselves.
There’s LOTS of injustices that they could’ve explored here in an honest fashion but ignored to make a PC movie. The only thing that saves the movie is Jeremy Renners performance and the police chief (I’ve loved him in everything he’s done) otherwise skip it
It IS our fault, at least as far as the federal government is concerned. Reservations are ungovernable under the current laws.
Indian Casinos to the rescue.
I don’t give my money to Hollyweird.

“Couldn’t get past the political statements once again.”......
Precisely why I DO NOT intend to go to see ANY new movies. The only thing they understand is money and when that stops flowing to them for their “garbage”, perhaps they will stop their hate for everything that made this country great.
It was a political staement. A series of them That’s what Hollywood does.
I go to check on them. See what they’re up to
There’s also a story in there trying to get out. It would have been a great flick the premise was good. Renders character good. FBI agent getting a clue was good. The details on the crime reenactment so drawn out for more brainwashing and is disturbing plus stupid -like no that doesn’t really happen as in people don’t really go into the basement to check out a noise when they know a chainsaw murderer is on the property
As I understand it, from Indian friends, when kids come of age, they are given checks for $35,000 by the gubmint. They buy big trucks and drugs. And live miserable stupid addicted lives thereafter.
Many people have suggested they get vouchers for some kind of higher learning or job training instead of checks, but cannot get that past the tribal councils...the bigwigs, or big feathers, if you will, profit greatly from keeping the lower-class Indians drunk and stupid. Meanwhile, casinos are ALWAYS approved and haul in at least a million per day. How much of that goes to lower-class Indians? Very little if any. Some tribes at least build addiction treatment centers, but few bother.
I got this info from a part-Indian friend whose ex wife, a purebred Indian, is a college professor and on the board of directors of the local casino. She benefits greatly from the system.
“hopelessness of life on indian reservations”
That’s not anyone’s problem but their own. They can make whatever they want with their indian nations. They get loads of US cash too!
It’s like the Israelis that made a home out of a desert but the muslims can’t seem to do it, or the blacks that killed white farmers, took their lands, and then starved because they couldn’t farm.
Reading the comments, especially from those who had actual contact or experience with these communities, I get the feeling that the Indians are essentially rural, tribal people, out of place with Western culture.
Before everyone screams “racist,” let me insist — I don’t mean anything derogatory. I feel the same way about many societies everywhere — Latin America, Africa/Middle East — even some whites in Appalachia. They’ve been kept dependent by either government handouts or rigid village or family codes. Part of the problem is possibly genetic, part of it environmental. But some just don’t belong in the Western world.
