Could be, we stopped there more than once.
In fact, we closed the place down, our ship left less than 24 hours after the big eruption that closed everything down.
Yeah, I was at NAS Cubi Point about 4 years before Pinatubo blew her stack...totally
destroyed Clark AFB, IIRC. I was there for about 3 months...the Squadron took us down
there from MCAS Iwakuni and left us there...good times.
