Her Oscar came from being in a movie no one ever heard of called ‘Boyhood’ in 2014 for supporting actress.

True Romance is one of my favorite movies. Written by Tarantino but directed by Scott, I think. Great movie. Tarantino decided to direct Reservoir Dogs instead.
Charley was very popular back then. I believe he would also visit the Red Skelton and Hee Haw shows.
I used to get this actor mixed up with Edgar Buchanan, aka Uncle Joe on Petticoat Junction.

Agree to that. True Romance-One my all time favorite movies. She was also in a few episodes of Boardwalk Empire as an American ex-patriot in Cuba. Couldn’t believe she was middle aged. I guess the years have flown by since the Tarrantino movie.
