“Why do you think he hasn’t?”

I’ll tell you by Trump hasn’t fired Sessions. There are many reasons.

Number one. Rosenstein would take over. Nuff said.

Number 2. A Senate confirmation would not give Trump or us conservatives what we want. We could have someone worse than Sessions.

Face it. We - including Trump - are stuck with Sessions.

Yeah, Sessions is part of the Swamp.

This is your premise? Yeah, I agree.

Hanity has confirmed that Jeff Sessions has not recused himself from Uranium 1. If it is an ethical investigation, we won’t know about it until the indictments.

Hannity's source was left unnamed.

What we do have confirmed, on the Senate record, at the confirmation hearings, under oath, under penalty of perjury, is Senator Sessions recusing himself on Hillary, the Clinton Foundation, and anything (Uranium One) connected to it.

i know EEE. but you really don’t need to defend the great Jeff Sessions from people here who don’t know him, and haven’t taken the time to learn.

first of all, he can defend himself. he’s dealt with D.C. corruption and attacks for decades and kept his sanity, self-respect, and integrity. he was the only person who suggested and promoted the populist route to victory. he immediately supported Trump and got many of us on board because he was on board.

he’s God’s man in this spot. It’s almost like he’s prepared his whole life to do this job at this time. if Trump survives, and that’s an open question, Jeff may be the man who plays a critical role in his survival.

no worries FRiend, i believe God’s got Jeff’s back.

Yes.

I don’t support, have any love or respect for, or trust any Republican.

I don’t care what they’ve said.

None of them have done anything, except assist, enable and abet Democrats.

This includes Sessions. He has zero accomplishments.

Jeeze, by your account Trump himself sounded like a Freeper the other day when HE complained about the lack of progress by Sessions.

Do you have to have a house fall on you to get it? Trump doesn’t. Trump would fire him right now if it wouldn’t look like a political move that would get him roasted by the fake news.

Sessions is scared stiff of the media for starters...he knows the media will freak if he goes after clinton...the guy is weak and from a different time...this is a political blood death match like no other, and this idiot just caved when he recused himself...OVER SOMETHING THAT HE KNOWS NEVER HAPPENED. Hes been Trumps biggest problem from day 1....

No. He is protecting government criminals, thus he is corrupt.

Yup, Sessions needs to go now or President Trump needs to hire a kinda right hand man to light a fire under Sessions posterior so that he can move on the orders of President Trump. If Sessions recuses himself or refuses then he really needs to be replaced very quickly or he really could be fired by President Trump for insubordination.

The FBI right now is performing like the Key Stone Cops if you catch my drift.

We need a very good FBI and second to none since Congress is bent on "Killing Americans" by passing these bills that allow Mooselimbs thru lotteries into our country.

Congress is killing Americans, who would have ever thought on this type of thinking but it seems to be true.

I also notice that people who complain about Sessions not (instantly) fixing the government or jailing all the corrupt politicians, also complain about the crap the schools are teaching their children.

Now.... whose responsibility is it to ensure that the teacher’s curriculum is acceptable ? Isn’t it those same people who complain Sessions isn’t fixing things fast enough ?

Why don’t they fix it ? Well... because you can’t just go in and demand it be changed. You can’t just attack one teacher, especially if the teacher is a minority or female, or , say, Muslim.

You have to go through procedures and follow the law. You have to investigate (and you better do it secretly) and document and prepare. You can spend years fighting it, and still not win, or not win completely.

Yet these people claim to know ‘better’ how Sessions should be doing his job.

I remember that about a year ago, people were demanding that the DOJ get rid of Mexican drug gangs in the US. Sessions is doing that. No one seems to want to give him any credit for it. It’s difficult to root out corrupt politicians if they have deals with druglords who will kill anyone who interferes with their ‘mutually benefiting’ deals.

There is not one FR poster, imho, who could deal with, and accomplish what Sessions already has (and which the media doesn’t bother to mention).

We all have been waiting a long, long time to see proper justice achieved. Waiting a little longer won’t hurt. Those who don’t want to wait can just step up and solve the problem themselves. Ask Trump to fire Sessions and appoint one of them. Then we can all see how fast THEY fix things (or listen to them whine about how hard things are).

So far Sessions is an abysmal failure as AG. So much so that I am beginning to think he is being blackmailed.

Or maybe he’s just an honorable but deeply naïve man who thinks it is still 1950.

Previous to this appointment - one of the good guys.

We just had a very public appointment of a special counsel - Mueller.

But since special council appointment rules are now within the DOJ only, and since the DOJ is so damn secretive about any investigation, would we even know if a special counsel had been appointed for U1 or anything else?

I truly don’t know. But if these appointments don’t have to be made public, that could raise some interesting questions - like why was Mueller’s appointment so loudly public?

Don’t you think if it was that easy to, say, arrest/prosecute/jail Hillary it would have been done long ago ?

Look at the Hollywood mess. Sacrificial lambs are being slaughtered (although some of the lambs deserve it), but Hollywood is reacting by deploying the “I AM SPARTACUS” tactic.

Do you really think that all the ‘stink’ will be exorcised out of the MOVIE/MEDIA business ? Even if it could be done, how long do you think it would take ?

Jeff S was among my favorite senators so I started out
supporting his AG nomination. I will have a problem with
him if he doesn’t go after Democrats at some point for
totally legitimate reasons. Just yesterday the Prez
mentioned some frustrations regarding this situation. I
think that many FReepers are expressing similar
frustrations with Sessions.

If there will be further reclusions the lesson may be
that past and present legislators should not be given
consideration for nomination to the post of AG due
to potential conflicts of interest.
