From reading it sounds like the man wasn’t being charged with attempted murder. Like the NYPD threw the book of petty charges at him like attempted Jay Walking while stalking his victim :/
“He was also booked on charges of attempted assault and attempted criminal obstruction of breathing after he tried to put an officer in a headlock, authorities said.”
Hopefully, his attack on the police officer will result in some series prison time.
