Frozen is not equal to -65F
LOL
In sixth grade, my son did a demonstration on how to field strip a M1911 for his class. Mom had to help with the recoil spring because he was not strong enough to compress it.
Lutheran school.
I am sure my GLOCKs would. Not sure if I would.
“If you think the 1911 is one of the most easily disassembled weapons in the world than you have ZERO experience with any other modern handgun.”
Hahaha! Back at you buddy. Most other modern handguns have such a stiff take down lever they sure as heck aren’t ‘easier’ to field strip. Having 4 of them did not teach you much.
The pin and bushing come out a lot easier. Unless you have a full length guide rod on the 1911.
You will note he said “one of the most easily disassembled weapons in the world”. Which is a perfectly valid statement. The 1911 is only slightly harder to disassemble than the easiest to disassemble ‘modern handguns’ and it is far easier than every hand gun which does not have a single take down lever. Since there are an awful lot of handguns in the ‘much harder’ category and a fair number in then ‘just barely easier’ category then the statement that the 1911 is ‘onw of the most easily disassembled’ stands up to statistics.
