No. But I got a great hat. Then ordered a t-shirt to match.
I joined this past Sunday evening for the first time. I didn’t even look to see what discounts they offer.
I usually decline the free gifts from an organization, but I REALLY wanted the NRA ball cap, so I took it.
No! Frankly all the offers that I got and keep getting are nothing but spam to me. I joined the National Rifle Association to to support the cause and the Second Amendment and that’s it.
I’ve been an NRA Member for Decades.
Never use the Discounts, but I do use my small NRA Camo Duffel Bag as a Carryon when I fly just to see people wince when they see the NRA Logo, starting with the TSA Guys...
I joined for the fancy uniform. Chicks dig it.
That would be great. No discount but earn points toward an AR-15, or 5.56 ammo, or firearm safety classes.
There’s a buffet?! I really have to read stuff more carefully...
And no, the discounts are a means for a company to try to attract business and no on in the NRA thinks of them as any sort of benefit. These companies are stupid on top of being elitist radical leftist bigots and deserve to go bankrupt.
I had no idea there were discounts.
We didn’t join for the discounts. I think the husband joined for the magazine. ;) Gun porn.
The Kid is nothing but a modern day Brown Shirt and his actions remind us why the Founders in their wisdom said the RIGHT to Keep and Bear Arms “shall not be infringed”.
You will also notice that these attacks from the Left are not just on the RKBA, but Free Speech itself.
One word answer regarding my support of the Second Amendment, “Liberals”.
They are nothing but
I never have. Life member since 1977.
Forgot one word.
They are nothing but EVIL.
I always thought everyone joined, so the NRA would have money to protect our 2nd Amendment Rights. There’s Discounts TOO?
Nobody should a group for retail discounts. You can get low fares on airlines from a hundred free websites. You can get low room rates at hotels and for rental cars the same way.
In fact the best way to get the best possible deal on a car rental or a hotel is to call them directly and negotiate yourself. A few years ago mu wife got a 1 week rental on a Cadillac SUV for less than the published discount price of a mid-size sedan, all with no mileage charge. We have gone to Hilton Head 7 times and never paid anything close to the deepest discount on condos.
The best deal we got was a waterfront 1,200 sq. ft. condo on Hilton Head for $350.00..for 3 WEEKS! Just remember to airline rule....an empty seat on a plane that WILL fly regardless of how many passengers on it, is a loser for the airline...any money made to fill the seat is money found.
The same rule applies to car rentals and hotels/condos...any day that the unit is not generating revenue is a lost day...they can’t get that day back.
No joke. I remember wishing they would keep the hat and the magazine and apply the money that it took to make them and ship them to protecting our rights.
By the way, I have a bunch of factory-sealed 5.56 to get rid of and I am desperate for cash. Can anyone recommend a good way to sell it? Prefer to deal locally.
No one joined for the discounts, but I’m hearing a lot of people are joining in retaliation to dropping of them by these companies.
This Ping List is for all things pertaining to the 2nd Amendment.
FReepmail me if you want to be added to or deleted from the list.
More 2nd Amendment related articles on FR's Bang List.
I don’t recall offhand any discounts I have ever taken advantage of from the NRA. My dad was Life long Member of the NRA...we never understood the NRA to be anything more than an educational organization teaching people safe shooting, discussing the pros and cons of various types of guns and a staunch supporter of the Bill of Rights and the Constitution and a huge, humongous supporter of the 2nd Amendment.
I will not be supporting any company on any list that boycotts the NRA. And additionally:
HOGG does not represent adults. What fools are the followers.
Does anybody even know anybody who joined NRA for the discounts?
....or the free magazine, or the pocket knife. No, we join the NRA to preserve our rights under the 2nd amendment. Renew and join.
I have never used an NRA discount for anything.
