I am just the opposite. I trust Gowdy FAR MORE than I trust Sessions. Sessions is just sitting on his hands.
Gowdy is master of the 30 second sound bite but has done nothing; no results.
Sessions is also a “no results” AG.
Things are happening as they are supposed to happen. The dominoes are falling one by one. Democrats are in a panic, as they should be.

Trust Sessions
Sessions painted himself in a corner by recusing himself so broadly and so prematurely early on.
Not only does the recusal go to Russia, and Team Trump, and Team Hillary, but also secondary matters that arise that touch on these issues.
Everyone is frustrated by the anti-Trump leaks and wants Sessions to find the leakers and punish them.
But if the underlying subject of the leak has to do with something Sessions is recused from, for example General Flynn, Sessions is powerless.
People are frustrated by the redaction games being played by the FBI and the DOJ to conceal their own embarrassing misconduct and misjudgments.

He was left painted in a corner, crossing his fingers and hoping against hope that Rod Rosenstein will not make him look bad.
But Rod is a careerist and a DOJ fetishist, like many other DOJ lifers like Mueller and Comey. He is not inclined to suffer anything that makes the DOJ look bad, even if it means looking the other way at pro-Hillary and anti-Trump corruption and deferring obsequiously to his former boss Mueller.
