"The drive belt can suddenly snap, which in turn can lead to falls," IKEA said.

The drive chain is on the left side instead of the right - modern innovation!
Looks like any other girls bike(whats with that?) except for the belt.
Drive belts works and can for a long time if manufactured properly. Belts drive overhead cams on engines and are good for 100,000 mikes.
Always was.
That was my original thought. But think about it. Who has more to lose from the bar on a mans bike. Thats just not right. They got it backwards
He’s the black Pee-Wee Herman
Obama rode a girls bike so it must be a cooooool thing to do. Unless of course you are a real man and not a weenie.
A well designed belt is good for many tens of thousands of miles. Even on high powered motorcycles. Makes the the drive train quiet so you can hear the engine roar better.
I watched the video in post #2 above, and the drive belt seems to magically move from the left to the right in different scenes.
A typical bicycle chain on a commuter bike will last almost that long and is cheaper to replace.
If you really want a bike with a belt drive and the Rohloff internal gears then spend more and get a Tout Terrain from Peter John White Cycles in New Hampshire.
Thet aren’t cheap but they are the best commuter and touring bikes made

Interesting. Millions of scooters-to-Harleys and some cars run off those things. They seem to last longer than chains and don’t need adjusting or greasing. My Suzuki Savage 650 has one with 40+ thousand miles on it. It shows no signs of weakness and has never been adjusted.
Sooks like any other girls bike(whats with that?
Every bike I saw in Japan was a girls bike. I just assumed they only make one kind in those parts.
Do you have to assemble it?
Maybe they should rename it to SLAYYA.
