The version of Manic Depression at Winterland is awesome. In fact, Hendrix comes out of the solo early vs Noel and Mitch, but a train wreck is avoided because the band is THAT TIGHT!
Check out the Jimi Hendrix Concerts album for a killer live version of Are You Experienced?, even thought Jimi repeats the second verse in the third verse, and the guitar is out of tune for most of the song...anyway, cowboys are the only ones who stay in tune.

I have seen manic depression cured by sunshine and/or vitamin D3 directly in three cases, one of them my daughter. The only effective medicine for MD is sunshine (vitamin D). I sent a friend in Việt Nam a year's supply of D3 supplement (VN women hide from the sun for cultural reasons) to deal with her constant flu/cold problems. It fixed the virus chain and I noticed from her emails that her previously severe and getting worse MD was gone. I researched it on line and discovered the MD-Sunshine connection and have since done it for my daughter and a waitress in a diner that I had got to know. I talk about to everybody when the subject comes up, perhaps to the point of being obnoxious, and have heard from several people who had heard me and tried it. It WORKS.
