I’ve read that long married couples are known to get legally divorced,but remain together,in order to get more in Social Security benefits.
I had wondered if the Captain and Tenille had done that to protect Tenille's assets from Daryl Dragon's Parkinson's costs.

I had wondered if the Captain and Tenille had done that to protect Tenille's assets from Daryl Dragon's Parkinson's costs. You just reminded that I've also read that older couples divorce to protect each other from medical/nursing home expenses.
