Children should learn to listen to their elders. If he was asked not to do a thing by a person in authority and still did it he should be prepared to accept the consequences.

That is how the world works and parents need to prepare children for the world , you can’t prepare the world for your children.

Is that how the world works? Maybe you are right...if you don’t kneel to the arbitrary demands of the elite, they will most assuredly do their best to punish you in the most extreme manner possible. Still I wouldn’t say that is the way America is supposed to work, in fact it sounds a bit like tyranny.

There are boundaries and limits.

Following your advice would make me less of a citizen and a failure as a parent.

The social Contract is based on a certain level of courtesy and basic manners. Mentally healthy non-pervert adults teach (or indoctrinate) by example.
