My favorite version is one by Al Hirt and Ann Margaret on an old album called Beauty and the Beard. You could tell they were having a lot of fun singing this song. Why can't people just chill out about this stuff. It must be miserable to try and find someone these days with everyone so touchy about the most innocent stuff.

I was listening to the old Burl Ives rendition of Holly Jolly Christmas. I'm pretty sure that one will be next for the crime of mentioning the mistletoe (hung where you can see), and the instruction to "kiss her once for me". Another cute, flirtatous comment that is not allowed any more.
