Key provisions of the Feinstein Gun Ban: The bill bans the sale, manufacture, transfer and importation of 205 military-style assault weapons by name, but it does say existing owners may keep existing weapons.
Any assault weapon that accepts a detachable ammunition magazine, has one or more military characteristics (including a pistol grip, a forward grip, a barrel shroud, a threaded barrel or a folding or telescoping stock) will be banned. Owners may keep existing weapons.
Magazines and “ammunition feeding devices” that hold more than 10 rounds of ammunition, which allow shooters to quickly fire many rounds without needing to reload will be banned.
Owners with existing magazines may keep them.
What Guns Aren’t Included In The 2019 Gun Ban? The bill exempts by name more than 2,200 guns for hunting, household defense or recreational purposes. All currently owned guns are grand fathered… just no new ones.
How Will The Gun Ban Affect Sales, Trades and Gifts of Guns? All future sales, trades or gifting of guns will require a background check in order to be legal. In effect…this is a national gun registry.
All grandfathered assault weapons must be stored using a secure gun storage or safety device like a trigger lock.
It will be illegal to transfer high-capacity ammunition magazines.
Bump stocks and any other devices that allow semi-automatics to fire like automatics will also be illegal.
Provisions That Were Kept From The 2017 Gun Ban Folding stocks that are “otherwise foldable or adjustable in a manner that operates to reduce the length, size, or any other dimension, or otherwise enhances the conceal-ability of a firearm.” will also be banned.
Pistols must now weigh under 50 ounces when unloaded, a policy included in the original 1994 ban. This effectively makes all AR style pistols illegal.
Bans assault pistol stabilizing braces that transform assault pistols into assault rifles by allowing the shooter to shoulder the weapon and fire more accurately.
Bans Thordsen-type grips and stocks that are designed to evade a ban on assault weapons.

Well it is ‘mighty white’ of her to let folks keep the ones that they already have. That will save the lives of a few jackbooted thugs that would try to take them. Of course if she gets her way on this one, the next one will take the ones grandfathered in.
The weight limit on pistols would also ban lots of hunting revolvers like just about every .454, .460 S&W, .480 Ruger,.500 S&W, etc.
I do not foresee a lot of compliance by the peasantry, and the black market prices of existing ones will skyrocket. Great investment opportunity for a scofflaw with a few tens of thousands of dollars to spend now.
Under other circumstances I might say this would not pass a big majority Republican Senate like we have now, especially enough to override a Trump Veto, but the Repubes might do it just to spite Trump.

Constitutional Amendment: All laws, be they federal, state, or local, shall equally be enforced upon all citizens and their government. The citizen shall always be granted the most generous version.
If there is no rational ‘self defense’ argument for these weapons, why are they in the hands of law enforcement?
