Bacopa – Bacopa monniera Up to 2 grams 2X a day,br> ---------------------------------------

I've been taking the Mind Lab Pro universal nootropic since jan and one serving only has 150mg of Bacopa Monnieri. I guess for therapeutic purposes you need massive amounts. I've noticed some very positive results but the Lion's Mane 500mg, thats part of the stack is giving me an awful skin itch. Just the other day stopped taking it to get it out of my system.

Thanks for the list of herbs.

Lion’s Mane, what is that? I know that Motherwort’s old name was Lion Heart but is that the same thing? I am not familiar with Lion’s Mane.

Herbs generally speaking (very generally) need to be taken in goodly amounts; of course not very reducing (reducing means reducing toxic loads, antibacterial/antimicrobial herbs), they need to be taken in smaller amounts, and only as needed.

But for supportive, tonic or maintenance herbs, usually a lot more needs to be taken than many people realize. I found this out myself and also it is mentioned in many herb books that I have. Altogether I take about 3 or more tablespoons of herbs a day.

But it is always best to not over-do, and be cautious about starting any herb, and to work up to a good dose gradually. One this is that if people don’t take enough of an herb or formula, they won’t feel better, and then get discouraged and think “it doesn’t work”.

That’s one reason why I prefer to take, and recommend to others, to take powdered herbs in water, you can adjust the amount and of course it’s cheaper than capsules or tablets. For me it’s a lot easier to take them that way, I loathe swallowing capsules or pills.

Hmm, I think Lion’s Mane is a fungus/mushr

Okay, found this:

There have been documented cases of people experiencing difficulty breathing or skin rashes after exposure to lion’s mane mushrooms, likely related to allergies.
