It doenst matter because they were not winning the TDF year after year. Armstrong is an American that was beating the Euros at their own game at an embarrasing rate and they got butthurt and could not deal with it. The whiny bitches destroyed the sport in the process.

The sport was already dead. Most TDF winners since testing started have been vacated. Track and field is suffering from the same problem. You can’t trust the results on any event you watch, not until 10 years later if the win hasn’t been vacated.

They should have legalized what they knew everyone was already doing or kept quiet but they could not stand an American being the best. The only answer at this point is to legalize or stop testing. The first one across the line is the winner, no questions ask.

Problem is they’re against the rules in basically all sports. Not particularly healthy for you. And usually the acquiring of them level of doctor shopping and prescription fraud.

They were busting cyclists for doping before Lance arrived on the scene, and they've continued busting cyclists after he left the scene. Far from going after Lance simply because they were butthurt that an American was winning, by Lance's own admission, the UCI was helping him cover up because he was bringing more fans and money into the sport than they'd ever seen, and they were desperate to avoid another scandal like Festina.

At the end of the day, it wasn't the Europeans who brought him down, it was USADA and Travis Tygart. Seriously, do you know anything about professional cycling other than that Lance was an American who won a bunch of times?

I agree it was USADA that did the dirty work but for what agenda? Has the USADA helped any of the sports it is supposed to be protecting? Would you be convinced any dominant cyclist today is actually clean? I don’t follow the sport at all these days and doubt I ever will again. My connection to the sport was a close friend racer (not pro) and tech that worked at a large bike shop in north texas. This was when lance was an up and coming rider that was known to all in this area and circle.

To bust dopers and try to keep sports clean. It's kind of in their name.

Are dopers constantly trying to keep ahead of anti-doping efforts? Sure. There was a time it wasn't possible to test for EPO, so everyone did it. Then they figured it out and people stopped using EPO. Just because cheaters are always trying to find new ways to avoid getting caught doesn't mean you should give up trying to catch cheaters.

It seems like your position is that doping in sports should be ignored, especially if it's an American doing it.
