I didn't like what I knew of Trump from what I had seen on "The Apprentice." I was leaning towards Cruz and Carson. Started paying attention to Trump after the first debate and ended up rooting for him. After he got the nomination, I made phone calls for him at the local call center - the first time I've ever volunteered for a presidential campaign.
I'm 67 and I think he's the best president of my lifetime. He's a true leader. I'm impressed by his stamina, his ability to focus, and his steadfastness despite the media, the Democrats, the swamp, and a lot of Republicans trying to tear him down.
Here's an amazing factoid: During the 2016 campaign, Trump did
323 rallies with 1.4 million people for an average of around 4,500 people per rally. That is just an amazing stat considering that large venues were pretty much out of the picture for security reasons. Almost every rally had thousands more standing outside who couldn't get in.
