I’ve got a UPC code scanner and an RFID chip reader on my tablet. I tried to scan my dog but the tablet didn’t do anything. Maybe I need a program. The dog’s supposedly been chipped by the previous owner. He had passed away & his kids are who we dealt with. Never could get them to give me the name of the vet, else I would have had it rewritten with our info.

Have to be able to break it down. I had a special check-digit algorithm for use with the scan guns I was decoding. It was back-office software I was writing for a very famous company. (I won’t name them here nor in FReepmail).

Nothing nefarious. Just processing bar codes.

Could be the dog’s chip is only excited on a certain frequency? Too bad you didn’t have old dog tags. They probably would have revealed it.

I supposed it’s dog tags or RFID chips these days. My dogs have tags.
