Is that not referring to a "specific" president or was your definition of grammatical terms incorrect?

Doesn't matter. "President" not followed by a specific name is a common noun and not capitalized.

I don't make the rules. I just follow them.

I was going by the "rule" that you stated in post #10. I guess my problem was following a rule that you did make.
