Those making the buying decision have the data to figure out the trucks’ ability to function in the environment they’ll be in.
Either Amazon has figured out that the electric trucks will indeed be cost effective, or their decision is a publicity stunt, or they’re just stupid.
I’ve said before that delivery vehicles seem like a good role for electric vehicles since they run a predictable route and can be recharged every evening. However, I’m not convinced that even as delivery vehicles battery power is the best means of propulsion.
