If you win a big power ball or mega millions lottery (government run) then the Democrats want you dead, beaten, raped, and penniless.

Only in the minds of Democrats - create a tax/gamble on poor and stupid but if you win then your evil.

“Raise the minimum wage to a billion dollars and we’ll all be billionairs”.

A few years ago I bought 5 $100,000,000,000,000 Zimbabwe notes. Half a quadrillion! I gave one to a friend, one to a family member, sold one and kept 2 for myself. I know I don’t deserve to be a trillionaire, but here I am.

What many can’t grasp: one person can literally be >1000x more productive than another, and thus earn >1000x as much.

Even in mundane metrics, I know an evaluation within an office showed that some individuals were upwards of 20 times as productive as some of the others - excluding the lazy - and some few tripled the productivity of the entire work-group. That doesn’t even take into account the logarithmic increase in productivity that you mention.

One doesn’t need billions to sit in the garage drinking beer and watching sitcoms. One might actually need billions to build a factory (or series of factories), or a datacenter. As noted above though, “need” has nothing to do with it.

As Reagan said in 1964:
“We have so many people who can’t see a fat man standing beside a thin one without coming to the conclusion the fat man got that way by taking advantage of the thin one.”

“I’m not sure anybody cosmically or morally deserves to have a billion dollars,” as South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg put it.

Then why do billions, nay, trillions of dollars exist?

Oh, that's right, for governments...stupid me.

Stupid discussion. Why should some people choose not to work and be supported by those that do? If the guy/gal earns a billion, so be it.

I agree. They can make all the money they want.

I also want lefty activists billionaires to keep their hands off my constitutional rights.

The Clintons are billionaires.

The Obamas are billionaires.

The Trumps were billionaires BEFORE holding public office.

Perhaps, after President Trump’s success, the public will demand that presidential candidates prove themselves first by their financial accomplishments in the private sector.

Kanye is a billionaire.

The obsession with equality, aka “social justice”, is the deadliest form of cancer a nation can contract. It’s the cancer of envy.

Jefferson should have never used the phrase “all men are created equal”. It is the most obvious lie to anyone with open eyes.

I’d be happy to help make a billionaire out of the scientist who cured cancer;

Heck, if someone invented an easy, healthy treatment that would get rid of a lot of unwanted fat quickly without a lifestyle change, he'd be a trillionaire, and the people buying the product from him would spend the money happily.

What don’t people understand about the fact that there will always be people so much richer than you that you’re a pauper in comparison and also people so much poorer than you that you’re Jeff Bezos in comparison? To Pete Buttigieg or Liz Warren, it’s “insane” for someone to have $1 billion? Yeah, well, for maybe for a family for four living in Section 8 housing, maybe it’s “insane” for Pete Buttigieg or Liz Warren to have $1 million or $500,000 or whatever they’ve got. And maybe to a bum sleeping in Golden Gate Park that family of four in Sec 8 housing with an HDTV, cable and a refrigerator full of food look like the Rockefellers.

So how much, exactly is “enough” for any one person? That is, according to our would-be or wannabe overlords... Do they realize that their entire line of thinking runs counter to the principles of freedom and liberty that this great nation was founded upon?
