I’m not going to write a long history of the background again {Go Deep}. However, to be fair, if we are going to hold Barr accountable it is appropriate to be thankful when at least one aspect of a gross injustice has been addressed.
When the decision to allow James Wolfe to escape accountability for his leaking of the classified documents was made, there were only a few people within the DOJ who could make that decision.
AG Jeff Sessions was recused from anything to do with the ongoing DOJ activity into the 2016 election issues and the Russian-collusion/conspiracy investigation.
Therefore Robert Mueller, DAG Rod Rosenstein, DOJ liason Ed O’Callaghan and U.S. Attorney for DC Jessie Liu would have been the group of decision-makers. With Mueller and Rosenstein gone that left O’Callaghan and Liu still on staff at Main Justice. Today the last two were removed from positions of authority in the DOJ.
Whether John Durham is empowered to go back and re-enter the political issues with the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence is an unknown. Normally, I would doubt it, but the issue does actually have more consequential importance because of the ‘Gang-of-Eight’ authority/oversight; so it’s an unknown. But at the very least the poor decision-making has been addressed. The SSCI compromise is an outstanding issue for another time.
Thank you Bill Barr for addressing that significant issue, albeit obliquely.

Barr may very well have accomplished what I predicted. Waited until he was irrelevant. We are weeks from CWII here in Virginia.
I trust Barr. I have not trusted anyone before him. I believe he is the real deal and plays the long game.

I hope and pray you are right. I have given up on Barr or any of them. I realized months ago the right answer is not 3) Four to Six months as we are now being told for the what, 5th, 6th time in the last three years. If Durham is gonna shit he needs to get to business or go away. Because as the weeks drag on there’s less and less every day that are gonna accept one more chorus of Four to Sixth Months.
Barr has been away for many years but he knows how the inside works.

I watched the full interview he gave to Pete Williams of NBC. Barr is the real deal.
What I read today is Durham’s report will be out like late spring which to me translates to April.
They can’t “kick some ass” at least publicly or in the courts. If they do the government falls. Graham and Burr go down and take a hell of a lot of others with them. Public trust in government will crater (more than it has already) and we will face a constitutional crisis unlike this country has ever seen.
Forces from outside the US will try to capitalize on this and the dollar will collapse leading to world wide chaos. This game is being played on a different level (no not 4d chess). Some adjunct players will see jail time but don’t count on any big names going down. The will be conditioned to “get their minds right”. Sort of Jeff Epstein in reverse.
As much as we want to see big players go down and get our pound of flesh, we won’t. I do however think Obama will end up discredited on a grand scale and his legacy trashed to his supporters, hopefully Hillary too.
I will disagree. We shall see.

Exposing Obama is not easy, his duping of America is on a grand scale; I'll never forgive him or the people who continue to slather him with praise ...No matter the exposure of Hillary's crimes, there is a segment of our nation, that will never see her for what she is.

IOW the 6th chorus of 3) Four to Six Months. I’m sick of it.
So the fact that deep state Dems in the House have called for Barr’s impeachment; the fact that deep state operatives throughout the media attack him relentlessly every day; and yet you still cling to the ridiculous belief that Barr and Durham are actually protecting the deep state. Simply pitiful. I feel more confident every day in my decision to put my trust in Trump, Barr and Durham.

I do think it is kind of funny. A year ago when I started having discussions like this here, on FReeRepublic, folks like you were far in the majority. Not trying to diss a fellow FRPeeper in any way. I just wonder if you notice that at this point it is pretty hard to say the majority of FReepers agree with you. Lucy, Charlie Brown, football and all. I’m glad you are out there. As the political subdivisions of the state of Virginia increasingly signal their willingness to follow the US Constitution vice the state's laws, the more likely an incident like what happened here in Charlottesville is to occur. When that incident happens, and it was only that incident occurring that stifled the petty tyrants, we're in new territory. My personal poll says it will end ugly for the petty tyrants, and the Greedy Gestapo, aka the Virginia State Police!
