Actually, and fittingly, it was probably Cuban sympathetic voters who kicked GD Clinton and his dipshit VP Gore in the nuts when it came to GWB’s overall presidential victory. Hanging chads and all that, remember? Democrats really helped tip the balance, and the picture of Johnny Jackboot pointing his assault rifle in Elian Gonzales’ face swung it in the final analysis, IMO.
The Elian Gonzales raid probably cost Gore Florida and therefore the 2000 election. The Sunshine State has actually moved rightward in this century, with the RINOs Jeb Bush and Charlie Crist being replaced by the more conservative Rick Scott and the unquestionably conservative Ron DeSantis.
