Democrats are really boxing themselves into a damned if you do, damned if you don’t scenario. They allow Bernie to get the nomination, moderate, sane democrats (and yes there still are some) vote for Trump or sit out the election. Yet if they kneecap Bernie at the convention and give the nomination to Biden, then the “Bernie Bros” vote green party or sit out the election (and maybe even riot in the streets).

That’s a very optimistic scenario. I doubt there are enough “moderate sane democrats” left to fill a phone booth. Those who are will easily be swayed into supporting “the Party candidate”. Bernie bros will fall in line even though they will be grumpy about it.

Like all Rat nominees, Sanders will start out with a solid 47% support from brain dead parasite party regulars.

There will be no 55% landslides ever again.
