Is it a WiFi printer or hooked via cable to the PC?
I found it cheaper and more convenient to go with laser printers once I decided I had no reason to have to print color - by the time I go through my second toner, the printer is ready to be replaced and they are so cheap these days that if one goes through a high-capacity toner, it is cheaper to buy a new laser printer than it would be to buy all the ink for the ink-jet types.
We use both, but prayerful research show me the the 8100-8600 series HP take a black cartridge that is the largest cap. i know of at 53.0 ml (the standard cartridge holds 11 ml of ink), and the reman cartridges for it on Ebay (House of Toners) are 1 black and 3 color for under 12.00 still, with free ship . Yes, that is correct, glory to God. And they work well (though HP will interrogate you, but let you use them if you honestly affirm they are not genuine, and thus lose warranty). You may need to hold down the resume button.
