Just speaking for my own self, I care for Tom Hanks' longevity no more nor no less than any other human being's.

IOW I hope he and his wife both get over it but... I don't even know them, frankly.

I’ve read that Tom Hanks is a Type 1 Diabetic.

If so, I’m sure that doesn’t help his situation.

That being said, I hope he and his Wife (a Cancer survivor) both recover from their Illness.
