Don’t know much about the occupation after the war.

Seems to have gone well.

There had to be hard liners who couldn’t let go, no?

Any violence during the occupation?

As I understand it, his success relied on getting to know the Japanese and channeling the best of their spirit in reorganising them into a democracy.

At Wrest Point he did the same.

He listened and listened and listened and then modernised.

I dont know why he was less sucessful with desperate WW1 veterans marching in Washington under Hoover.
