I wouldn't use the word "anecdotal" for this either. But the distinction he was drawing between the existing evidence and evidence from clinical trials was valid.

Well as an experienced immunologist he should be able to explain it. It's one thing to be careful, but this is absurd. I am guessing that he is one of the guys of whom Trump has had to plant a boot up the posterior to get them to move, the other being the head of the FDA, who must be a deepstater of the worst kind.

Of course it might not work out as we are hearing, but Faucci has no real alternatives at the moment.
