Yeah this complaining about the model is like people complaining when we obliterated Sadam’s army in the desert. We need to be thankful that we are lowering all of the early estimates of what it would take to deal with CV and we are minimizing the loss of life.

You need to check out Gov’t salaries. A GS15 pay is $51-$66 per hour, and I’m guessing she is Senior Level Service, which is above the GS15 level.

perspective on this and he talks like he has no doubts about their conclusions. It is a possible consequence of being in the election year vice. He goes renegade and it goes badly they will crucify him. That said, I think he has the wind at his sails for loosening it up. Even most of the people in New York are damn worried that the cost to the economy is too high to go on like this.

As I write this, the Dow is up about 1000 points. This cannot be tolerated. Just wait until later today when Fauci and Birx get to the microphone. They will say what they need to say to get that number nosediving into the red. They must enjoy that type of power.

Where is Washington state in this mix-up? They had some early cases, but that seems to have run its course ... there are several GOOD reasons (like: packed subways, the Chinese new year celeb that DeBlasio touted, etc) why a place like NY has seen bigger numbers than elsewhere.

It does appear that the Chinese New Year’s celebration in NYC and the Mardi Gras in NOLA had an outsized influence on the course of this virus in America.
