I hate to tell you people this, but the 10th Amendment died at Appomattox. The secessions of 1861 where the original Article V, and that didn’t work out too well. The freedom the U.S. enjoyed at its founding ceased to exist as a result of that war. Look no further than the 14 Amendment for validation:
All persons born or naturalized in the United States and subject to the jurisdiction thereof... (emphasis mine)
We are all merely subjects now.
